Lacrosse Services & Codes
Town of LaCrosse Services:
The town has a franchise agreement with Progress Energy and Clay Electric Cooperative to provide electric service and street lights. If a street light is out in your area, please contact the Town Hall at 386-462-2784. Hours for the Town Hall are Mondays Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9AM to 3 PM.
Water and Sewer
The town does not provide water or sewer services. Property owners have private water wells and septic tanks.
WastePro solid waste services provides curbside garbage pickup. Garbage pickup service is twice weekly on Monday and Thursday.
Recycling pickup is on Thursday. What to recycle: plastic bottles/ jars #'s 1-7; metal cans (including empty aerosol cans); glass bottles/jars; newspapers & brown paper bags; magazines, catalogs, telephone books; corrugated cardboard; office paper & junk mail.
Customers interested in signing up for pickup services should contact Waste Pro Direct at 386-462-2500 The fee for this service is $21.12 monthly.
The town maintains the LaCrosse Recreation Park. There is half-court basketball, a tennis court, a playground area, and picnic pavillions. Please contact the Town Hall if you are interested in hosting an event there.
The Alachua County Library Bookmobile comes to LaCrosse on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th Friday from 12 p.m. - 6 p.m & Saturday from 10:30am-4:30pm. The bookmobile parks next the Fire Station along State Road 121.
Town of LaCrosse Codes:
The town has established an interlocal agreement with Alachua County for permitting and building codes inspection.
Residents must report to the town hall to obtain a Certificate of Compliance prior to applying for a county permit.
