Water and Sewer

The town does not provide water or sewer services.  Property owners have private water wells and septic tanks.


Garbage Pickup

WastePro solid waste services provides curbside garbage pickup.  Garbage pickup service is twice weekly on Monday and Thursday.
Recycling pickup is on Thursday. What to recycle: plastic bottles/ jars #'s 1-7; metal cans (including empty aerosol cans); glass bottles/jars; newspapers & brown paper bags; magazines, catalogs, telephone books; corrugated cardboard; office paper & junk mail.

Recreation

The town maintains the LaCrosse Recreation Park.  There is half-court basketball, a tennis court, a playground area, and picnic pavilion. Please contact the Town Hall if you are interested in hosting an event there.


Library

The Alachua County Library Bookmobile comes to the Town of LaCrosse on the following schedule:

  The bookmobile location is now at Town Hall complex along State Road 121. The Bookmobile is suspended services at this time.



  Currently, both bookmobiles are in the shop for repairs. However, we are still planning on providing library services to the Town of La Crosse via tent and book carts for this coming. So, Keep an eye out for the tents!

   

The bookmobile will be at Town Hall on the first four Thursday of every month from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.

and on the fourth Friday of each month from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Town of LaCrosse Codes:

 The town has established an interlocal agreement with Alachua County for permitting and building codes inspection.
NOTE:       
     Residents must report to the town hall to obtain a Certificate of Compliance prior to applying for a county permit.
